Ford Rewards Top Dealers

Ford dealerships in Queensland and Western Australia have claimed top honours in the national Ford Dealer of the Year awards for 2004.

The National Metropolitan Dealer of the Year award went to Peter Adams of Q Ford in Springwood, Queensland, while Colin Lane of Lane Ford in Mandurah, Western Australia won National Rural Dealer of the Year.

"The Ford Dealer of the Year awards are highly sought after and keenly contested by our entire dealer network," Ford Australia Vice President Marketing and Sales, Bruce McDonald said.

"With 228 Ford dealers nationally, to receive one of only ten Ford Dealer of the Year awards is recognition within our company of meeting the highest standard of sales and customer service."

For Peter Adams, it was the first time his Q Ford dealership has been recognised among the top ten Ford dealers in Australia, while Colin Lane has now won National Rural Dealer of the Year award on five consecutive occasions, taking the prestigious title each year since the awards began in 2000.

Ford dealerships nationally are categorised into ten groups, based on their new vehicle sales volumes. A points system awards dealers for meeting and exceeding set objectives in the key performance areas of customer satisfaction, new and used vehicle sales, parts and service, financial performance, and retail excellence.

Dealers with the highest point scores within their group are honoured with the prestigious Dealer of the Year award, while the national winners are the dealerships with the overall highest point scores in metropolitan and rural areas.

National Metropolitan Dealer of the Year:

Mandurah Rural??? It is only an hours drive from Perth. Don't Ford have a kilometre range from a capital city, for rural ? Merriden etc I would classify as rural.
