I'm not too sure if its normal, but my fiesta did it as well once, but i havent been able to get it to do it again, i asked the service guys at ford and they have no idea. I think its a safety thing at high speeds.

So Adam, what you're saying is that our LR has the feature as standard across the range? If it is, that's brilliant!!

No Eddie the LR doesn't have this feature. Why would it need too. Us LR drivers never have to emergancy brake. People know to get out of our way

Tried it last night a couple of times, it does not happen on the LS. I tell you what though with the DBAs you really have to brace when stopping $1.30

Ok i have tried it alot fo times now and without fail the hazzards do come on. mine is a 2007 LX 5 door manual in queensland if that helps on finding out what ones do the hazzard thingo. also i have tried looking in the owners manual but does not state anything in there about it. might have to call Ford up and see what they say. have some fun with them and tell the salesman everytime i apply my brakes my hazards come on and see what he says lol.

Oh that is sweet. I read somewhere that the newer fiestas were equipped with that feature. When I tried it out on my 2007 fez and it didnt work, I just thought they deactivated the Aussie versions. In reality, the reason why it wasn't working was that I wasn't going fast enough

Wow, i am so shocked that alot of people do not know anything about this feature. i thought some one out would of known it. Any how after testing it more it over 100km/h is when the automatic Hazrd Flashing Hard braking Technical thing happens. I think it is cool. And also Is there a way of opening and closing my electric windows without having to turn the ignition all the way on? it is annoying that it doesnt stay powered for atleast 40 seconds :(
