Default Ford vs Holden?

Hi all,

Does anyone know of the sales of Ford vs Holden?

A few years ago, the EF/EL seemed to be around more than the VR/VS... then when the AU hit the scene, VTs were everywhere!

Now it seems that BAs are more common than I thought, because I am seeing less VX/VYs.

Just curious

The last I read about this bindi was that Ford have reeled in the sales a smidge over Holden. What that percentage was I can't remember. But Ford have reeled it in.

Try this site www.automotivepersonnel.com.au/news

It has a month by month chart for each segment. Although they don't go that far back.

That can be the case but it's also what our eyes pick out the most. At least that's what I've noticed. When I bought my ED, I noticed more early E-series than ever before. When the BAs came I really liked it's shape and as the months went by, I noticed them more also. It just depends really.

i see a shit load of BA XR's!

RPO83 usually provides sales figures, and ford has not beaten holden. bridged the gap, but not beaten them in falcon v commodore, that i know of...

From what ive heard, ford dont have the potential to produce as many cars as holden can anyway....

Falcon outsold Commodore in one month about a year or two ago.

yeah they probably did win a month or 2...but not consistently...

and ford has always had the ute sales over holden....mainly due to the fact that they are cab chassis and the tradies can bolt their tool boxes onto them etc...

Yeh the utes got outsold for the first time in ages. differing opinions on why, apparently ford sacrificed some ute production in favour of producing more territory's
