Default Difference between DF and DL LTD's

Well i've decided that its time for me to put my xr6 up for sale in the very near future and buy a car that i wont be tempted to spent big dollars, that means finding a car that has it all already and what i've come up with is a car that i've wanted for a while but not needed as i had 2 dailys and a project car already, a DL LTD .

Now i've read the brocheres on aff and to be honest i can't really tell the difference between the DF and the DL other than the DL has self leveling rear suspension. Even the pics they provide of the interior look excactly the same.
Was there any real difference between the DF and DL other than the years they were built in? Info would be great fellas, thanks.

All Fairmont/Fairlane/LTDs had the self-leveling suspension from 1988 to 1998.

I think the main differences between DF and DL are the wheels (DL gets 16") and all DLs have passenger airbags (introduced in DFII).

Don't think there really is much else, apart from the usual 'EL' changes, which include deleting the door lock on the passenger side and revised rear suspension settings.

Nice cars though

Also I think the DF got black switchgear (eg. power window switches etc.). DL got all colour coded

DL also has lower mounted front seats.

All the differences are quite minor, so personally I'd be shopping on price, condition and mods rather than model.

Being fairly rare these days, you can't afford to be too choosy about the model if you want mods as well.

Thanks fellas, i didn't think there was much in it. But yeah that what i was thinkin, if there is not much difference it would widen my search for an LTD. I'll be looking for one pretty standard as i like to start from scratch, not that i'll be doing much to it (just usual exhaust, wheels suspension) hence the reason for wanting to sell my xr6, so i can start putting money towards my mini moke.
