Default Hey Hey it's saturday

I am not sure if this is a repost, but if there is, merge it please if so.

For these people, who has been aware about this show which has been around in our televisions for 28 years since it was canned in November 1999....

...This wednesday flags the Hey Hey it's Saturday's return for the first time in ten years, that they are doing a reunion special and this will be a biggest night for these fans who loved the show a decade ago.

...Are you one fo the fans?!

YES! Cant forget Dicky Knee...!

Has to one of the best Aussie shows ever. Its going to be interesting, hope thye dont murder it.

Does anyone remember that show that used to be one before or after it, I cant remember the name but he had that pyhsco Denise Richards (I think). It was an adventure show where contestants would go through courses and generally get owned or smashed by obstacles.

Its a Wipe Out could have been it? Actually, I think it was, "its a wipe out, thats the name of the game" was the jingle. Good times..LOL

I'm looking forward to it as HHIS was big in it's day. Unsure why it's on Wednesday. If it gets the ratings, it will stay on!

"It's a Knockout" I loved that show and badly wanted to go on it!! Red, blue green and yellow teams. But I think it was Fiona Mcdonald that hosted (Jackie's sister)

With regard to Hey Hey, some of my best childhood memories are getting Mcdonalds on a Saturday night (when they still used polystyrene containers that you could trun into moneyboxes!), and sitting down as a family to watch Red faces....priceless

This is my fear too.

It was on every Saturday night at my place, and later, it was the catalyst to start drinking before going out. Something happened in the mid 90's, and the show went down hill, especially compared to the show that I remember from the 80's. Not having it on a Saturday Night won't help matters, either.

They should run with tradition and keep it strictly to Saturday, not Wednesday. I too am fearing it'll be a flop/sorry attempt and a terrible reanimation/replication of the past.

I reckon instead of murdering it by trying to bring it back they should replay the originals, same with It's a Knockout - they don't make game shows like that these days.
