When did AU XR8's change from series 2 to 3?

I think it depends on on model.Ive got pursuit 250 ute with build date of 28-11-01 & it's a series 2.Ive read xr8's & xr8 utes built in Nov 01 are series 3 but P250 utes weren't series 3's until Jan 02.
