Default Help with codes

Hey guys,
Could somebody help me out with vin + engine codes please. I'm having trouble to decipher.
I am looking at a xy ute, and I want to know if it came out with the original engine etc.

Number on the radiator support:-
JG41JC38/26
Tower numbers:-
V012916P
Rego sticker:-
1969 Ford Utility4, S/N 9824534 "G" , Engine No. V982547P

Tower & engine numbers are Victorian Police issued numbers from 2001 & 1998 respectively.

This doesn't necessarily mean it's suspect - it's been cleared of any identity issue, but the original was compromised & couldn't be re-used. It can also happen with engine swaps, or large sectional body repairs too.

Thanks commodorenutt, I might steer clear of it. It needs a total restoration.
