Default FRD6RL's (Ford Girl's) Fiesta Zetec

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to introduce myself and my 06 WQ Zetec. :newangel:

You may have seen the 'Fiesta ST parts for sale' thread on here, well on Thursday we were lucky enough to cruise down to Britek and snap up some Fiesta ST goodies: 17" Wheels with Pirelli P Zero Nero Tyres :evil3: , Side Skirts, and Leather Interior. A big cheers to Adam Laws at Britek! Awesome. :

We had a chat to Adam about the parts, and he said they've come off a Fiesta ST that Ford Oz imported for evaluation, so the front seats have the ST logo embroidered on them (a nice touch for individuality)

My hubby put the wheels on yesterday and we got some pics, hope you like:

Tomorrow the interior goes in : (hopefully with no dramas) lol
And were looking at some other external additions to complement the ST sideskirts... :evil3: There will be updates in the coming weeks...

Cheers, Nicole. :newangel:

Those wheels look nice on your Fiesta. Well taken pics, too. I reckon you should make a Zetec-S replica if you can (Fiesta Zetec with ST bodykits).

Welcome to the forum, btw.

Should be simple to do....I make the interior for the Falcon and it is so simple to change seats in that.

NICE there Ford Girl. Love the LOOK.

Im glad some one snapped up those parts without a fuss.

If you got the steering wheel it will cost you about 90 to get installed by ford properly.

Hi guys the interior is in! :

Absoloutely no dramas putting it in, and it looks sensational!

It really has made a big difference to the car, not only does it look great but the sports buckets are soooo comfy!

Heres the Fez interior-less

Hi Ives, thanks for the ncie comments, I'm pretty stoked with the wheels. My hubby took the pics, I really like the one from the rear. You might be onto something re: ST bodykit!

Thanks Photn, we got the ST wheels, interior and side skirts, didnt get the steering wheel as its pretty much the same as the Zetec has already.

Hey Adam, the seats went straight in without any dramas. The wheels certainly were a good buy! Thanks again.

Next on the to-do list are clear indicators, overhead stripes, and an ST bodykit she should look incredible once its all done.

Cheers, Nicole. :newangel:

What performance mods do you think???? :

I was thinking about a sports exhaust but I'm afraid I might loose the smoothness and quietness of the car as that's one of the things I really love about it.

Cheers

A K&N Apollo or BMC CDA is a great start. They're basically plastic (or carbon fibre) covered pod filters. Good for 5kW more.

If you wanna keep the car quiet & smooth, then a 2" cat-back exhaust & Eibach Pro-Kit springs wouldnt be a good idea.

umm, As ives sujested,

Id sujest the XR4 exhaust system with a revised tip really. that system should sound nice and quite, yet free up the flow and give it a nice Sporty sound up high.

A BMC CDA and a set of Eibachs and youll have one SEXXY looking car.

Hey guys,
Ta for the comments
Photn do you know what the difference is between the XR4 exhaust system and the standard exhaust system? Would it be worth getting a XR4 exhaust system over a after market one? used:

Cheers Nicole :newangel:

Depends on the price. i paid 320 for my Aftermarket Exhaust. The new one for the Focus will be about 400 bucks.

The Fiesta one can be seen here. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8pjV8GXRTK8

And as you stated you wanted a quite one, so the XR4 exhaust would, yeild a good improvement over the stock fiesta one, without creating too much loudness or discomfort.

Ideally it would allow the exhaust to flow much better, and give it a nicer sportier note up high.

Excitement! We got my Fiesta ST front and rear bumpers home yesterday! Ordered through EuropeanParts.net, all genuine Ford stuff!

If anyone is interested I'm selling my Zetec wheels:
http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?t=11190228

Once you go 17's, you don't go back!

And also a set of WP Fiesta ST doortrims (with leather inserts)
http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?t=6670439

Has extra vents in the trims, I decided just to leave the WQ ones.

pm me if you have any questions, reasonable offers accepted.

Cheers, Nicole. :newangel:

Great Stuff, If you don't mind me asking, how much was the freight and was it door to door?
Also did you get a price from ford Aust on the parts too?

Hey Adsy01,
I think all up the total cost was almost $1500 with the frieght being about $250.00. We decided to pick it all up ourselves from the airport as you have to arrange extra frieght to your house :( . Saying that we ended up having to pay a customs fee and also a fee to the company we picked it up from as they handled all the customs business for us which was an extra $180.00

Abit expensive all up, but it will be so worth it :alien2:
Getting the kit painted next week so fingers crossed it could be on next weekend! :

Cheers

Also sorry Adsy01 to your question about finding out prices from Ford Australia, we didn't even bother! My dad works at a ford dealership and when I got him to find out about some prices on some other things for the fez it was just too expensive, even with the discount he could get :
Much cheaper to get Fez stuff from the UK or Germany!

God dammit, I wanted the ST side skirts.

Well, seeing as how my baby daughter is a full-on money sponge, meaning I have next to zero extra cash for mods (see THIS THREAD for a perfect example), I wasn't able to buy the side skirts. It's good to see they found a good home, though.

Nice car! Should look awesome with the full ST kit on.

Just kidding! Well I don't have kiddies so I guess my car is my baby, so I don't mind spending abit of money on her, especially on her extreme makeover! _2:
Thanx for the nice comment! Can't wait till the kit goes on. Getting it painted this week, so fingers crossed it might go on this weekend! :

Nicole, in February there is an event called Small Ford Sunday held by the RS Car Club. It is the biggest get together of the year and a great chance to show off your car to other Small Ford owners. Keep it in mind (the dates will be released in a month or so's time). Your car is sounding fantastic and I'm sure we'd all love a chance to take a look.... and possibly take out "Best Fiesta"

Hi Fiesta Girl,

Ive tried looking at the photos but its not working... maybe i have a prob with my net... but im keen to have a look at ur car...

I wanted to ask about the bodykit you got from overseas... how long did you have to wait till it came over?

I want to get a bodykit for my fez from overseas but im scared that it will get damaged in shipping or that it will take too long to arrive... Ive already ordered some lights for my Fez from overseas and ive been waiting for about 3 months... but they are finally on the way... so im told.

Any advice?

Thanks in advance,

Theo
