Default Worth buying a tickford engine?

There is one on ebay

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/FORD-FALCON-A...QQcmdZViewItem

168kW for $1,000 from an AU fairlane, done 163K

My car is a 1999 AU Series 1

I think they were 157kW??

Anyone reckon it would be worth it?

much easier and cheaper to put in the non VCT tickford engine no wiring or ECU change needed. I just got one with 56Ks for $650

Its actually a 172kw motor. If it comes with the ecu I reckon it'd be worth it.

172kW in the XR6 with a freer-flowing exhaust. 168kW with a quieter exhaust in Fairmont Ghia or Fairlane/LTD.
