Default Pod or panel filter

hey guys, just a quick question, which is better, a K&N pod filter, shielded from the engine heat, or a K&n panel filter for my airbox, with an xh snorkel. which will give me the best performance as both are around the same price.

cheers
scott

6 of one, half a dozen of the other, i prolly go the pannel, it would sit neater in your engine bay ie nicely in the box. I would only use a pod if its tucked inside ur 1/4 pannel of course then u run the risk of water. I have a pod on my turbo starlet but its hangin off the turbo. In your case i cant imagine u would get any gains outta a pod.
