Default Need help removing air vents

Hey, i need to remove my air vents as i have gotten some soft drink onto the air louvers which have caused them to be a little sticky.
I have a 2006 focus and the air vents i'm talking about are the ones on the center dashboard.

Just drive your car in to a lake with the windows down. It will wash out any spilled Coke that way and clear away lots of unwanted flotsam too.

Or, have a look at this article to get an idea of what the vent looks like. You can see the tabs that hold it in place. But in your case, I think you need to do the opposite, i.e. our vent controls are at the bottom, so the clips too are probably at the bottom.

Good luck with it.

There are two retaining clips on the upper side of the air vent. You will need to insert a flat blade screw driver into the air vent to release the clips. The whole air vent will release and slide out.
